RYZE Is a free public charter school open to students in North Carolina.

The school plans to open in the Fall of 2026 with grades K-4.  An additional grade will be added every year, making us a K-8 school.

Yes, RYZE will support children with IEPs and 504 plans. We are committed to providing the accommodations and services necessary to meet each student's individual needs and help them thrive academically and socially. 

Yes! Ryze will offer both breakfast and lunch, provided daily by professional caterers to ensure fresh and nutritious meals for our students. 

While Ryze Charter Academy will not directly provide after-school services, we are partnering with an award-winning program to offer high-quality, on-site enrichment. This trusted organization will deliver a fun, safe, and engaging experience focused on academics, creativity, and social development. Services will run Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, including early release and teacher workdays. We’re excited to share more soon, but for now, know that your child will be in great hands!

At Ryze, we believe in starting strong and staying engaged all day. A typical day begins with Brain Breakfast, giving students a calm, nourishing start. We follow that with Morning Circle, where we set the tone for the day and build community.

From there, our academic blocks include:

• ELA
• Morning Recess for movement and a mental reset
• ELA
• Math
• Lunch followed by Afternoon Recess
• Core Knowledge History & Geography
• Core Knowledge Science

We end the week with Enrichment, where students explore interests and develop skills beyond the core subjects—such as the arts, physical activity, or entrepreneurship

At Ryze Academy, we believe uniforms promote a sense of community, belonging, and readiness to learn. All students are expected to adhere to the following dress code during school hours and school-sponsored events unless otherwise specified:

Tops:

• Solid white or navy collared shirts (polo or button-down styles are acceptable)
• Shirts must be clean, neat, and appropriately fitted

Bottoms:

• Khaki, blue, or black pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts
• Bottoms should be free of rips, tears, or inappropriate designs
• Shorts and skirts must be an appropriate school length

Footwear:

• All-black closed-toe shoes are required
• Shoes should be safe and supportive for daily movement and activity
• No slides, Crocs, sandals, or open-toe shoes are permitted

General Expectations:

• Clothing should be worn in a neat, clean, and respectful manner
• Students should be able to participate comfortably in all learning activities, including physical movement and outdoor play
• Hoodies, jackets, and sweaters worn indoors should align with school colors when possible (navy, black, or white preferred)

Ryze Academy reserves the right to address any attire that is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or not in alignment with the spirit of our learning environment.
